Grozet, Shacklebush or Honey Buzzard?

This past weekend was the 32nd Nottingham beer festival – rebranded for 2008 as the Robin Hood Beer Festival and relocated to the castle. The tents were packed when we were there on Saturday, with more than 500 weird and wonderful real ales to sample.
As someone who occasionally has to name products for a living, for me part of the fun is the brilliant names – the sinister Old Diabolical, the saucy Strawberry Blonde and the strange Ditchy and Salty Big Brew. Must be a fun job. In fact, if there are any breweries out there who would like some help, we’ll be more than happy to sample a few of their products and come up with a few options.
