We work in a pretty fast moving, hectic, pressurised, deadline driven trade - but that seems to be the way of the world these days. Everyone wants everything yesterday, but still expects it to be top notch. That’s pretty demanding.
But we’ve adapted - turning out lovely creative ideas, branding, copy etc - all to really tight timescales - it’s what we do.
Sometimes thought it’s worth spending a little extra time on something to give it the true value it deserves… ‘Rome’ and all that!
And slowness doesn’t always refer to time, and shouldn’t be seen as a negative - the more we rush something, the more chance we’ll miss an opportunity - and that applies to both business and life in general.
So it was refreshing to see I’m not the only one making sure I slow down just a little and make the most of everything - Slowlab is a New York based organisation dedicated to promoting ‘slowness’ - and very interesting and it is too. Why not take a look, if you have time?
